18. How can I find a Reiki Master to learn Reiki from?

Many Reiki Masters will tour the country, hold speeches and workshops with initiations. Keep your eyes open, if you are interested something will turn up! You might be able to find Reiki Masters in your hometown. If you have several to choose from, then check around what others are saying. Go see a Reiki Master, take a treatment session and see if you like this Master. If you do then maybe this is the right teacher for you!
You can also find Reiki Masters that do distance attunements on the Internet. I have tried, just for fun, and they seem to work just as well. The disadvantage is that you never get taught even the basics of Reiki. If you are lucky you will get a "manual". Personally I find this a bit sad as you lose a lot of the essence of Reiki if you do not have a Master that can actually give you the information and understanding you need to heal yourself and others. My recommendation is to go to a good Reiki Master that actually teaches what you need to know. (Be aware that prices can vary from Reiki Master to Reiki Master.)
